Womac, 25, is a Texas A&M graduate with a professional degree in Sports Management and minors in both Psychology and Business. For the past three years the Salado, TX native has had an active part in helping form Texas Collegiate League teams. She got her start working for the TCL team, the Brazos Valley Bombers as their Corporate Sales and Public Relations director. After two seasons with the Bombers, Robyn accepted the General Manager position with another TCL team, the Coppell Copperheads. While managing the Copperheads, Womac revamped the inner workings of the organization, established improved marketing programs, and rejuvenated game operations. The Copperheads won the 2009 TCL Championship during her term as General Manager. Womac is no stranger to sports, playing college basketball for Texas A&M and Angelo State University. Womac also spent time as the fullback for the Texas A&M Women's Rugby Team. As an Aggie Rugger she earned 3 conference championships and was selected to the U23 All Star Women's Rugby Texas Team. Robyn played five varsity sports in high school, including softball which she also played at ASU. She was active throughout high school and college as a volunteer for Premier Baseball National Championship tournaments and Summer League Baseball Teams. Womac is an avid baseball enthusiast and is excited to be working with the SwampDogs and the Cumberland community. "After coming to Fayetteville and meeting such a wonderful SwampDogs staff I realized that I did not just come across a community with love for its team but a team that loves its community," said Womac. "In my years of working with summer collegiate baseball organizations I have never seen the compassion that the SwampDogs put forth with their fans and when working with their local business partners. I'm excited to be a part of the SwampDogs and the Fayetteville area." "We're excited about her joining our organization," said SwampDogs Director of Operations Darrell Handelsman. "Her experience and personality make her a great addition to our staff as we embark on our 10th season in Fayetteville. She will hit the ground running and be an asset in the community." |
