The Fayetteville SwampDogs, in partnership with the greatest fans in the Coastal Plain League, are proud to present a check to the Cape Fear Valley Friends of the Cancer Center in the amount of $8,130.16. This is the sixth consecutive year of the StriKing Out Cancer promotion at "The Swamp". Each year, the SwampDogs wear custom pink jerseys that are auctioned off following the game with all proceeds benefitting local cancer patients.

"Without our incredible fans, this would not nearly be as successful," said SwampDogs general manager Jeremy Aagard. "There are so many people that have been affected in some way by cancer, and we are honored to be a part of this tremendous event each and every year. Our fans should be proud to be able to help so many in their community."
