|6th Annual Trunk or Treat at "The Swamp" Successful|
|Friday, 26 October 2012 19:44|
The Fayetteviille SwampDogs and Operation Ceasefire continued the tradition of welcoming thousands of trunk or treaters to "The Swamp". The sixth annual edition of the event kicked off at 5pm with a line of anxious costumed characters entering for their opportunity to take part in the biggest and safest trunk or treat in Fayetteville.
Following the trunk or treat, everyone was invited to take part in a costume contest presented by Spirit Halloween. Kids were separated into three age divisions with celebrity guest judges selecting the best of the evening in each age group. The celebrity guest judges included City Councilman Bobby Hurst, ESPN Radio host Sully and the SwampDogs fun-loving mascot, Fun-Go.
To cap the night off, Operation Ceasefire set up their movie screen in the outfield for a viewing of "The Lorax". Many families set out blankets and lawn chairs in the field to make sure they had the best seats in the house.
The SwampDogs would like to thank our wonderful partners for helping make this a can't-miss event each and every year. Also, thank you to all of our wonderful participants for joining us for this tremendous event.
